Once again, Deshantari is organizing its 4th annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, August 28, 2010 . This event will be held at Hogs Back Falls . The Walk-A-Thon benefitted the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. The Deshantari of Ottawa-Carleton's Executive Committee would like to urge everyone to help raise donation by pledging to help the Heart Institute further their life saving work.

Time : 9 AM - 1 PM
Date : Saturday , August 28 , 2010
Gathering : At the parking lot of Hogs' Back Falls park.
Route : Starts from the parking lot – along the canal (no street crossings) – using the sidewalks along Colonel By Drive going North – upto Landsdowne. Then back to Hog's Back falls parking lot (5 kms each way for a total of 10 Kms)

A minimum pledge of $10.00 will receive a donation receipt from the Heart Institute. Deshantari will collect all cheques, payable to "University of Ottawa - Heart Institute" . All "Cash" pledges will be collected by Deshantari and passed on to the Heart Institute.

We wish to encourage maximum participation, so even if you want to cover a much smaller distance, please DO NOT HESITATE TO SHOW UP.  Your support is what counts, not the kilometers covered.
